The Spanish-Portuguese restaurant Padron takes its name from either a town in Galicia or the popular pepper. Beyond the main dining room, you'll find a bar lined with azulejo tiles illustrating port wine production — like sherry, it's used everywhere, from long drinks to sauces. The kitchen is overseen by Michelin-starred chef Adrian Quetglas. His rabbit comes with chocolate and orange, while the empanadas are filled with crab, black cod, and lemon aioli. Octopus is grilled, duck and lamb shoulder are baked in the oven, and cocktails are mixed with cava and vinho verde. On a languid summer evening on the terrace with jamón and Madeira wine, it's easy to imagine the plane trees of La Rambla along Strastnoy or Lisbon's tram No. 28.
