This jovial bar named after the Bijou cocktail with Chartreuse moved from Mendeleevskaya to Belorusskaya in 2022, and loyal connoisseurs followed — the establishment's à la française charm is infectious. On the couch facing the bar or in the dining room with open kitchen, order escargots, onion soup, liver pâté — and suddenly you're in the Marais, in excellent company. Jeanne Moreau from the cocktail menu is gin with rose, while the François Massialot (a 17th-century chef who, according to legend, invented meringue) is vodka infused with buckwheat tea and a cream-cheese foam. They screen films, let guests bring their own vinyl for parties, and, to make sure you always carry the party with you, even released a perfume scented with herbs, berries, and juniper.
